Construction Site Coordination (BauKG) in Tyrol
BauKG, health and safety plan, official notifications? As soon as several trades work on your construction site, we take over planning and site coordination from a single source, so your project runs safely and you can focus on building.
Coordination is the client's duty: we take it over for you
Under the Austrian Construction Work Coordination Act (BauKG), the person responsible is not the construction company but you as the client. That is exactly what we are here for: as your planning and site coordinator, we make sure all trades work together safely and your site is documented audit-proof at all times.
Violations cost up to around 14,500 euros in administrative fines, and accidents can trigger civil and criminal liability. The good news: these duties can be formally transferred to us.
What we take off your plate
Planning Coordination
From the start of planning: safety consulting, preparation of the health and safety plan and the file for later works, support with tender documents.
Site Coordination
During construction: implementation of the health and safety plan, coordination of the trades, regular site inspections and continuous updates as work progresses.
Safety Plan & Notifications
Health and safety plan, advance notification including electronic filing, and the file for later works on the building, complete and audit-proof.
What is mandatory when?
Simplified overview under the BauKG. General principles of hazard prevention apply on every site; the further duties depend on the scope and risk of the work.

SiGe-Plan: when it is required and what it contains
The Austrian health and safety plan, known as SiGe-Plan, is required as soon as the site must be notified in advance (more than 30 working days and more than 20 workers, or more than 500 person-days) or when work with particular hazards is carried out, for example with a risk of falling or being buried, heavy building components or demolition work. This also applies when only a single employer works on the site.
It is drawn up by the planning coordinator during the preparation phase. It defines which protective measures apply on the site, how the trades work together safely and who is responsible for what, and it is continuously adapted to construction progress. Together with the documentation for later work, we prepare your SiGe-Plan ready for inspection and tailored to your project.

When is a site coordinator mandatory?
As soon as employees of more than one employer work on the site, at the same time or one after another. That covers almost every project with several trades, from a family home to a production hall. The duty lies with the client, not the construction company.
When is a health and safety plan required?
If the site must be notified in advance (more than 30 working days and more than 20 workers, or more than 500 person-days) or if work with particular hazards is carried out, such as work with a risk of falling or burial.
What is a SiGe-Plan?
The Austrian health and safety plan for construction sites. It defines the protective measures on the construction site, how the trades cooperate safely and who is responsible for what. It is drawn up by the planning coordinator and kept up to date during construction.
We are an international company building in Tyrol. Can you handle the authorities for us?
Yes. We deal with the Austrian authorities, prepare all statutory documents in German and keep you informed in English. This is our daily business with international clients at the Kundl life science location.
What happens if no coordinator is appointed?
Missing coordination is an administrative offence with fines of up to around 14,500 euros. If an accident happens, the client also faces civil and criminal liability. Both can be avoided: the duties can be formally transferred to an external coordinator.
Planning a construction project?
The earlier coordination starts, the smoother and cheaper it runs. Ideally, get in touch during the permit phase.
